P4 have started a new topic, they are finding out about houses. They have been busy observing features of their own home and carried out a survey about it. Everyone entered their survey details into a database. From this database P4 could find out lots of interesting facts about the houses their class mates lived in. We have been using ICT to draw pictures of our home too. P4 also used Beebot and had to program it with instructions to make it go to different houses on a street plan. During our Activity Based Learning activities we made some cement bricks and painted them. It was fun doing some of the jobs people do on a building site, especially being a bricklayer and building walls. Mrs Brown who is Mark’s mum told us all about her job as an architect. It was fun using the VR set to look at the inside of a building. During Art we have been constructing a house using a shoe box.
