Mrs Chambers brought P4 some apples from her apple tree today. She wanted to share 5 apples between 30 children. After lots of discussion on the white board we eventually worked out that Mrs Chambers had to split the apples into halves. Then we had to cut each half into 3 equal parts. We observed the 6 equal parts and learnt about fractions. P4 loved tasting the apples. They were delicious.
