BBC visit P7

20th Jan 2020

Etta Halliday from the BBC visited P7 today to record songs, music and the poetry of Robert Burns for the radio. Our pupils have been learning Ulster Scots in advance of our Burns assembly on Thursday 23rd January. The recording will feature on the radio programme ‘Kintra’ on the evening of Sunday 26th January at 6.00pm.

Some of the famous verses recorded were ‘To a Mouse’ , ‘Address to a Haggis’ ,’The Selkirk Grace’ , ‘A Man’s a man for a’ that’ and ‘Like a red,red rose’.

The whole recording was a great success ,especially the extra new interpretation of ‘Address to a Haggis’ with Aaron supplying beatbox and which some of the girls led by Selena,Ellie and Sarah joined in with some modern dance accompaniment!
