COVID Update

31st Oct 2021

Half term has seen a rise in positive COVID cases in our school. A number of children have tested positive in most classes. In order to limit the spread of infection we need to ensure everyone follows COVID guidance and take extra precautions over the next week.

1. Please continue to inform us if your child has tested positive or is displaying symptoms.

2. Do not send your child to school if they are displaying COVID symptoms. Please note a number of our positive cases only symptom has been a sore tummy.

3. Remind your children about good hand hygiene etc.

4. Classes will remain in class bubbles this week to limit mixing. No after school activities and the early finish this week for telephone interviews will also limit mixing. Early Birds will operate from tomorrow; we will keep children in family groups or class groups, as much as possible.

5. If your child tests positive we would recommend keeping siblings off and testing them too. A lot of our positive cases have had siblings testing positive several days later.

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation. Hopefully your vigilance will help keep things under control.
