We visited our Eco Garden to look at the apple trees and pick some apples. We named all the parts of the apple tree. We looked at the apples that had fallen off the trees. Everyone picked an apple and we put them in our basket. When we went back to class we estimated how many apples we thought were in the basket. Then Elena put the apples in a line and we counted them! We had gathered 23 apples! Harris wrote the number 23 on a label.
