P4 had a great time celebrating Pancake Tuesday. They weighed out the ingredients to make a lovely pancake batter before cooking them on the electric pan. As soon as the pancakes were cooked P4 got to choose some toppings - strawberry sauce, chocolate sauce, lemon juice, sugar, jam, biscoff sauce , etc. Then it was time to eat our delicious pancakes. P4 learnt all about the history of Pancake Tuesday and the custom of pancake tossing. P4 had the opportunity to toss a pancake. This was a competition. Everyone had 30 seconds to toss the pancake. The results were entered into a graph package on the computer and a table and graph was printed. P4 completed a match up literacy activity with questions and answers about the history of Pancake Tuesday. Everyone had a fabulous day.
