P4 celebrate VE Day …. 80 years on.
P4 have had a great day celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day . Everyone came into school dressed for the special event. There were lots of soldiers and evacuees. We had a special assembly, Hollie’s grandad was our special guest. He told us some interesting stories about his life as a soldier in the Royal Irish Guards. He reminded us about the war of the land, air and sea. It made us appreciate what people did 80 years ago. Everyone enjoyed their special lunch at their outdoor street party. In the afternoon P4 enjoyed playing some old style games using hoops, chalk, marbles and skipping ropes. I think P4 made some special memories of how they celebrated VE 80 Day.
