P4 in the Great Outdoors

20th Oct 2022

P4 have enjoyed every moment of the Great Outdoors Club this term and looked forward to all our activities each week.

The children constructed shelters and dens in the first week and made forest headbands and warrior head dress with facepaint on the second week to capture their imaginations.

On another week we roasted marshmallows and made smores at the fire pit.

In the last session before the end of term the children planted acorns and using leaves and apples from our trees in school they made a huge piece of ground art to represent nature popping up to approve of our work outdoors.

Every week we always had the opportunity for free-play in the trees and bushes as the real fun and creativity was wild and free . The boys adored returning to the woods to pretend to be forest protectors and the girls set sail for “Apple Juice Island” in their boat.

Well done P4!
