P4 love their dinosaur 🦕 topic

1st May 2026

P4 are loving their dinosaur topic. They know so many interesting facts and are so enthusiastic to share these with their peers. The classroom displays their lovely art work. Everyone painted a dinosaur for a wall display. Using paper straws P4 created their own fossil dinosaurs. It was fun using a balloon to make a dinosaur too. During activity based learning sessions, P4 have been building lots of dinosaur jigsaws, using ICT to created a PowerPoint poster, programming beebot to travel on a Dino Discovery grid, playing with the dinosaur models and reading dinosaur books. P4 got creative with the Lego and created some dinosaur models. Everyone got the opportunity to be a paleontologist, they had to explore and carefully uncover dinosaur bones in the sandpit. Jeremy, Burns Skills has been teaching us some coding skills using Scratch. P4 have been using this program to design a dinosaur background and make dinosaurs move and even dance! As part of our measure topic, P4 worked in groups to measure and draw different dinosaurs in the playground. Mrs Kelly made some lovely dinosaur buns for us too.
