Making sense of decimals in everyday life was the main focus of our recent Maths Week in P.6.
We used our understanding of tenths and hundredths to accurately measure various lengths, weights and heights. The key Maths skill of estimation was also sharpened throughout the week before actual measuring took place.
Our week ended with some highly competitive speed challenges where we used a stopwatch to once again make sense of tenths and hundredths to accurately record, measure and interpret time differences.
